AXA EBI Fl@sh - 08/05/2018 - GDPR - info

As you may know, the European regulation on the protection of personal data (GDPR) will enter into force on 25 May.

In this respect, we would like to inform you about the next steps in the communication for the group insurance contracts/collective disability and hospitalisation insurances.

In order to comply with the new standards, we are currently updating the general terms and conditions, the texts of the quotations for our products and the various management documents and our procedures (e.g. for the communication of personal data).

At the beginning of June, all customers will receive a letter concerning the obligation to inform the members that personal data will be communicated to the company for processing in the context of the implementation of the pension scheme or insurance agreement.
In addition, we will have a new AXA ("Data Processing Agreement") to respond to the requests of some customers who wish to sign a contract and an information note setting out the various actions that AXA has taken in the context of the implementation of the GDPR.

Communication GDPR: information to employers for group insurance contracts/incapacity and hospitalisation

In the context of the GDPR, we have adapted the general terms and conditions, the various management documents and the text of the offer of our products.

In addition, our customers (group insurance/injury/hospitalisation) will also receive a letter in the coming days on this subject.

In accordance with the Regulation, members must be informed, inter alia, of the fact that personal data are being communicated to the company for processing in the context of the implementation of the pension scheme or insurance contract.

What are these data?

Data to provide members with clarifications on their pension scheme/insurance contract:

  • the purpose of processing the personal data transmitted,
  • the person responsible for processing the data,
  • the recipients of the personal data, and
  • the rights conferred on them by the European regulation.
As the founder of the pension system/insurance contract, customers must provide existing and new members with this information.
