As part of the asbestos phase-out in Flanders, OVAM has worked, in accordance with the Vlarema 8 decree, on introducing the new profession of "asbestos inventory expert." This profession is subject to a number of obligations. You need to obtain certification before you are allowed to practice. Among these obligations is professional liability insurance.
Insurance broker Group Casier, a trusted partner of the professional associations VMx, OVED, and DENUO, has developed an insurance program for asbestos experts in collaboration with all relevant parties.
The insurance offered by Group Casier covers both operational liability and professional liability (damage caused by intellectual errors, such as mistakes or negligence).
You can choose standard insured amounts or opt for increased insured amounts. In addition, you can also include extensions for supplementary research and legal assistance.
Any asbestos expert holding a personal and/or process certificate for this defined profession can subscribe to this insurance.
